Ce soir nous nous rendons
au No Man’s Land, un bar à trois pas de la frontière Luxembourgeoise où
Dobermann se produit. Le groupe est composé d’Antuan La Croche (batterie), de Dario
Orlando (guitare) et de Paul Del Bello (basse & chant) l’ancien bassiste
d’Adam Bomb. C’est d’ailleurs à l’image de ce dernier que les trois Italiens
arrivent au bar dans une vieille fourgonnette. Après les avoir laissé décharger
leur matériel, nous nous approchons de Paul Del Bello qui nous accueil à bras
ouvert.

         
Tonight we go to No Man’s Land, a bar three
steps from the border of Luxembourg where Dobermann plays. The band is composed
of Antuan La Croche (drums), Dario Orlando (guitar) and Paul Del Bello (bass
& vocals), ex-bassist of Adam Bomb. As him, three Italians arrive at the
bar in an old van. After letting them unload their equipment, we draw near to
Paul Del Bello who welcome us with pleasure.
 

         
Le premier groupe
commence en retard, un quatrième s’ajoute avant Dobermann, et les Italiens sont
fatigués du voyage. C’est ainsi, un peu agacé, que Dobermann montent sur scène.
Et ça se ressent, ils ne se donnent pas à fond.   « Mince, il va falloir que je joue bien
alors ! » lance Paul Del Bello quand il apprend que je suis là pour
faire un report live.

         
The first group starts late, a fourth is
added before Dobermann, and Italians are tired of the trip. Thus, this is a bit
annoyed that Dobermann go on stage. And it feels they do not give themselves
fully. « Damn, I have to play well then!  » said Paul Del Bello when he
learns that I’m there to do a live report.

         
Mais qu’il se rassure, il
a marqué des points en faisant ressortir le son de sa basse dans leur musique.
Vous me direz, c’est plutôt normal que l’instrument de Paul Del Bello ait une
place importante dans le son de Dobermann puisqu’il est à la tête du groupe et
qu’il est bassiste. Mais bon, c’est toujours plaisant d’entendre un instrument
que je trouve plutôt discret. De plus, côté morceaux, certains sonnaient
vraiment Adam Bomb et d’autres ont été interprété en Italiens. Je ne le dirais
jamais assez : j’adore quand les groupes chantent dans leur langue natale.

         
But, he did not have to worry because he
has scored points by highlighting the sound of his bass in their music. You
will tell me, it is rather normal that the instrument of Paul Del Bello has an
important place in Dobermann’s sound since it is at the head of the band and he
is a bassist. But hey, it’s always nice to hear an instrument that I find
instead discreet. In addition, some songs were like those of Adam Bomb and
others were interpreted in Italians. Because, yes, I love when bands sing in
their native language.

         
Enfin, après avoir
remercié le public et ses « amis de Nancy » d’être venu (c’est-à-dire
nous), Paul Del Bello à clôturé le spectacle en crachant du feu. Wow !

         
Finally, after thanking the audience and
his « friends of Nancy » (us!) for coming, Paul Del Bello closed the
show by spitting fire. Wow!
